Saquarema is the Brazilian surf capital. There are constant waves all the year around; it allows the best conditions to practice this sport. In the city center, a very nice sandy beach is protected by rocks; it is not deep, there is no wave and no current. You can safely let your children playing around a taking advantage of the sea!

Very close from Rio de Janeiro, Buzios, Cabo Frio...

Only 100km from Rio de Janeiro, it permits to go and back the same day to visit or shopping in the state capital. It is about 1h30 driving and a bit more by bus. They are buses all the day from 4h45am, which let you enjoy full days there and come back to rest in a quiet place.

Cabo Frio and Buzios are even closer than Rio. You can reach both cities with local buses or by coach.
